Mortgage Protection

What is mortgage protection insurnace?

Your home is more than a building—it is where your family lives, grows, and makes memories. Mortgage protection insurance is a type of life insurance designed to help your family remain financially secure if something happens to you.

You choose an amount of coverage based on your mortgage balance, income, and family’s needs. You then make regular premium payments to keep the policy active. If you pass away while the policy is in force, the benefit is paid to the person you name as your beneficiary. Your family can use that money to pay off the mortgage, continue making monthly payments, replace lost income, or cover other important expenses.

Unlike private mortgage insurance, which protects the lender, mortgage protection life insurance is designed to protect the people you love.

Protection While You Are Living

Many mortgage protection policies may also include living-benefit riders. These benefits may allow you to access part of the policy’s death benefit while you are still living if you experience a qualifying terminal, chronic, or critical illness.

Depending on the policy, living benefits could help with:

  • Mortgage payments
  • Household bills
  • Medical expenses
  • Lost income
  • Home care or other financial needs

At Abundant Life Insurance Group, we believe protecting your home and family is part of being a faithful steward of what God has entrusted to you. We will help you understand your options and find coverage that fits your needs and budget.

Benefits, riders, eligibility requirements, costs, and policy availability vary by insurance company and state. Living benefits are not health insurance and may reduce the policy’s death benefit.
